History

The Horizons School was launched by a small group of parents* of young adults with learning disabilities, who approached university partners to discuss ideas for a pilot program. Their children completed a high school course of study and required more support to transition to independent living. Parents and university faculty envisioned an innovative program to teach life skills on a college campus.
