Barbara von Gal knew she wanted to teach students with learning differences at the age of 14 when she volunteered at Camp Bratton-Green in Way, Mississippi, working with adults who had mental and physical challenges. She graduated from Auburn University in 1993 and has been working in the field of Special Education ever since. She constantly states that working at The Horizons School has been her dream job. She and her husband each brought three children to their marriage – kind of like “The Brady Bunch” – but sadly, no Alice. In her free time Barbara enjoys reading, cooking, yoga, and spending time with her family.
